Last weekend I went out to a woodland in the rain to look for birds and Fungi and was happy to find both before getting drenched! Interestingly at one stage I had 6 species of Honeyeater in one tree! White-naped, Brown-headed, Crescent, Tawny-crowned, Yellow-faced and New Holland. I was particularly surprised by the Yellow-faced having not seen them in that area before.

Today I went to Monarto Conservation Park and enjoyed Shy Heathwren, Southern Scrub-robin and Tawny-crowned Honeyeaters along with New Holland Honeyeater, Crimson Rosella, Golden Whistler and Weebills.
